The Curricular Unit of Motor Development and Adaptation aims to empower students with specific and scientific knowledge applied in the areas of Physical Education, Youth Sports and Exercise and Welfare.
Pertinence: understanding of internal and external factors that influence motor development, leading to an understanding and optimization of movement.
Distinctive mark: providing a scientific background that allows to consider factors inherent to motor development as an epigenetic process.
Semestral

B - Factors that influence the development process: prenatal care; perinatal and postnatal;
C - Explanatory models and theories of motor development. Phases of motor development;

2. Knowing how to elaborate and apply an observation protocol;
3. Know and apply some scales of motor development in an adjusted way;
4. Identify the different factors that influence the process of growth, learning and maturation;
5. Select the appropriate strategies for the psychomotor development profile of the children (body scheme; balance; laterality; rhythm; ...);
6. Know and apply knowledge with regard to learning theories and models. Identify and name the learning factors, transfer and contradictory trend of the gesture system trend;
7. Reflect on the importance of games in the integral formation of the child and youth;
8. Develop a critical attitude and adjusted intervention on the triad: young person/parents/coach in sports;
