  • This curricular unit (UC) covers the knowledge of the aquatic environment as well as the human relationship with it, from adaptation to the aquatic environment to the learning of swimming techniques. Accordingly, this course aims to present the characteristics of the aquatic environment and the teaching methodologies in baby water activities, Swimming, Water Polo, Artistic Swimming, Diving and Aquatic Rescue

  • At the end of TPD I UC - Swimming: (A0) The student will be able to teach swimming lessons in the school context, according to the student's motor performance level (introductory, intermediate or advanced) and / or in a swimming school, in accordance with its objectives; (A1) The student will be able to teach and develop swimming lessons for babies (A2)The student will be able to develop activities in the context of Artistic Swimming; (A3)The student will be able to develop activities within the scope of the Water Polo game; (A4) The student will be able to develop activities in the context of Diving. (A5) The student will be able to develop activities in the context of Aquatic Rescue. (A6) The student will acquire technical mastery of the four swimming techniques and technical notions / tactics of Artistic Swimming, Water Polo, Diving and Water Rescue

  • Possibility of using online classes and attending online seminars or conferences to support the contents taught. Possibility for students to attend classes at the School of Aquatic Activities at PORTINADO in order to complement the contents covered in the classes.
