Luísa Carvalho is Adjunct Professor at Lusophony School of Education (ESEL-IPLUSO), an institution belonging to the Lusófona University group, where she teaches science education courses (Didactics). Before, she was a Ph.D. fellow from Foundation for Science and Technology, at the Research Centre on Education (CIEd), University of Minho. Completed the master's degree in Biology and Geology Teaching, by University of Minho, in 2014, and the degree in Biology-Geology, in 2011. Taught the course of Natural Sciences to basic education students before joining a PALOP Curricular Reform project at the University of Minho, funded by UNICEF and Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Works in Social Sciences area with an emphasis on Science Education. In her academic activities, she integrated the organising committee (in 2026) and the permanent secretariat (in 2019) of an international conference. She interacted with several researchers in co-authoring scientific works, three of them in an international peer-reviewed indexed journal (Scopus/WoS).
